The Tan Netherland Dwarf Project at BMD Bunnies
Tanita and baby Diega
This project started with a Black Tan Netherland Dwarf doe that I purchased from Barbi Brown Bunnies named, Tanita. She was an old doe and I only got two litters from her. Her two surviving offspring have become the foundation for a Tan Dwarf project which I am finding very challenging and exciting!

These rabbits are not close to being competitive in body type or ear length, but with the addition of some new stock, I am hoping to have the Tan variety of Netherland Dwarfs on the show tables as soon as possible
BMD Diega (Black Tan)
Diega is the only surviving kit from our second litter born here at BMD Bunnies. She has nicely carried that orange rufus gene from her mother and also (unfortunately!) her mother's ears. She will be a part of a new color line we will be undertaking in 2009: TANS!
